Devlog. Road to Beta (Part 2)

First of all, today marks a whole year since the very first alpha version of CCCP dropped on itch. While we didn’t exactly break the internet we did receive warm feedback and some constructive criticism which allowed us to develop and improve the game further. This is thanks to you, our audience that downloads, plays, and, hopefully, enjoys the game! Thank you very much for your support and sticking around with us!

In terms of the development, we’re progressing along quite nicely. The beta will feature a couple of extra levels on top of the existing ones. All these levels are from the second, Asteroid mine, chapter. However, the Omnicluster chapter will get some notable changes as well. Specifically, a new and improved tutorial level that will streamline the learning of the game.

In the meantime, help yourselves to some more screenshots.

The recording sessions were a success! Working with absolute legends we managed to get our story recorded, which is about 45 pages long, done in a span of just 8 hours! And now we’re mostly editing the audio, which is no small task either. However, we’re sure that bits and pieces of this effort will make it into the beta.

A sneak peak of our little setup.

Speaking of audio, our composer has blessed us with another track! This time it is a theme to the Asteroid mines. Listen to a snippet here:

Another feature that we’re currently working on has been requested of us some time ago. Controller support is something although not critical, yet strongly associated with any platformer game. Hence, we’re currently working on delivering it.

That is all for now. Expect another devlog sometime in February right before the Beta release.
