Devlog. Road to Beta (Part 1)


Here we are. Pretty much a year after our initial alpha release we’re happy to go beta. What does that mean for the game itself? Well, we’re going to answer that question in a series of devlogs, of which this will be the first.

With progressive development our team has expanded quite considerably adding a talented composer, and a talented animator. While you already have the pleasure of getting a taste of the music (with the Omnicluster theme) we’re planning to include the intro animation in the upcoming release. Here are a few sneak peeks:



Speaking of animation, voice acting is also underway,  as we’re gearing up to get some recordings on the way with some absolutely marvelous people. Updates on that to follow.

Level development is also chugging along quite nicely. The beta release will see some extra levels included. Help yourselves to some screenshots:



Lastly, let’s talk about the subject that has been largely avoided so far, the future. With 1.0 release being as close as ever it is important to share our thoughts. The upcoming beta is planned to be the only major release before the full version. It’ll also be the last itch-exclusive content, as we’re setting Costa’s Classic Cosmic Pizzas to conquer other game stores. This also means that we’re planning to put a price tag on the game.  All concrete details about the future are to follow in the upcoming months.
